ASSM’s expertise extends
from offering customising flight crew training in all aspects of
crew resource and threat and error management. ASSM has also created,
among other training materials, a specific course aimed at raising
flight crews’ awareness of the greatest safety hazards threatening
their operations. These courses can be tailored to the client’s
exact needs depending on the theatre of operations. ASSM’s
professional trainers will see that your instructors are best prepared
to initiate their own in-house training if so required. These courses
are offered both on a one-time basis or may be made part of a recurrent
training syllabus.
In conjunction with an associated partner consultancy,
ASSM can provide investigation and analysis of aircraft accidents,
in-flight fires and equipment failures, computer reconstruction
of flight paths using QAR (Quick Access Recorder) and DFDR (Digital
Flight Data Recorder) data, avionics and electrical power systems
failure analysis, and flight crew factors. Our experts are experienced
as technical spokespeople to clearly express objective opinions
and to render practical recommendations to avoid future accidents.
Our associated Forensic Visuals team can produce accurate aircraft
performance reconstructions based on digital recorders and environmental
data. These reconstructions are not only very effective aids in
claims settlement and litigation resolution, but will serve as
an invaluable training tool in a proactive safety management programme
thereby assisting greatly in reducing losses and high-cost aviation
claims. Data retrieved from recorders that is used to establish
trends can be fed directly back into the training programme thereby
radically reducing the risk of incident and interruptions in valuable
production.
This is another example of ASSM’s pro-active
philosophy of hazard identification and incident avoidance; an
invaluable investment in cost reduction.
