System Safety
The system safety concept
emerged in the early 1960's within the rapidly growing aerospace
and nuclear programmes to identify systematically and either eliminate
or control hazards throughout the life-cycle of a system. The evolution
of techniques and procedures used for the investigation of accidents
and failures in these industries was closely tied to the system
safety concept.
ASSM’s very concept emanates from the application
of system safety, as its principals were involved in military and
commercial air safety investigations and operations. Thus, ASSM’s
experts have developed a unique and long standing relationship
with the system safety concept; in both the determination of failures
and the presentation of recommendations to reduce or control them.
Today ASSM continues to apply the system safety concept in the
creation of error tolerant systems to enhance the harmonisation
of numerous disciplines with the complex environment. These concepts,
methods and rules form the base of the analytical approach used
by ASSM.
ASSM’s team of experts offers our clients the exact
expertise they require in any particular theatre of operation without
risk of incurring additional costs through unnecessary work or
duplication of effort. The highest quality and most reliable service
is provided to fit our clients’ budget and their exact requirements.
